Meet Julie L. Nelson

Julie Carbaugh Nelson grew up on a dairy farm in the Village of Waterside, Bedford County Pennsylvania. Julie is married and has 2 adult children, and she currently lives in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Northern Bedford High School, Has a major and minor
bachelor degree from Saint Francis University and also completed her MBA at University of Phoenix.

Prior to her hearing health career, Julie worked at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring, PA as a phlebotomist for 8 years, and then went on to a career in Pharmaceutical Sales. She also worked for Great West Financial Services as an educational counselor for a few years. Always
on a quest to figure out how to help people and be a productive member of society, Julie decided it was time to take advantage of her education and experience in the medical field and truly be an asset to people needing excellent hearing healthcare.

In 2014, Julie became licensed with the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Hearing Instrument Specialist, able to provide complete hearing testing evaluations as well as fit appropriate hearing instruments for patients. At this same time, Julie opened her 1st office in
Martinsburg, and then opened 2 other offices a few years later.

Julie owns and operates three locations in Pennsylvania; Martinsburg, Newport and Elizabethtown. She is at each location at least once a week, sometimes more depending on the need of her clients.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys doing piano and violin duets with her friend Rebecca and has been honored to perform at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence for special events. She also enjoys traveling, camping at Black Moshannon State Park and spending time with family
and friends.
